What is Cyphan?
Cyphan is a science fiction and fantasy convention which is inviting to people of all ages and walks of life. The convention features a family friendly atmosphere as well as separate activities for the 18 and up crowd. If you are a geek, nerd, or even just nerd-curious this is the convention for you!
When is Cyphan?
Cyphan takes place annually. In 2012 it will be in late July.
Where is Cyphan?
Cyphan is held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. The Hyatt is also close to O'Hare airport and offers a free shuttle for those who might be traveling by air. Look here for more information on booking a room at the hotel.

What activities are there to do?
Look here for a listing of panels and activities and here for the special event times. You will also be able to get a conbook at the registration table when you pick up your badge. You can also join us for the evening activities on Friday and the Imperial Ball on Saturday night.
I want to come to the Imperial Ball, but I don't have a good costume to wear OR formal wear!
Don't worry, you don't have to be in costume or wearing something fancy to come. Costumes are appreciated, but not necessarily. You DO have to wear clothes though!

Do I have to register for panels or activities as well as my badge?
No, just walk right in if you have your badge on you!
Do I need to preregister?
It is encouraged to do so, but you can buy badges and other passes at the door as well. You cannot, however, buy booth space at the door. Please note that tickets are limited to certain events such as the Imperial Ball and the Cocktail with the Stars.
I want to go to the Imperial Ball, is that included with my badge?
Due to space limitations you must register for the Imperial Ball separately unless you have a Gold pass. It is $10 at the door to get in otherwise. You must be 18 to attend.*
What about Cocktails with the Stars?
You must also register for that event separately. It is $30 to attend and space is very limited. You must be 21 to attend.
What does the Three-Day, One-Day, or Teen Pass include?
Access to the Dealer's Hall, gaming areas, costume contest and panels.
I want to bring my child, do I need a badge for them?
If they are 12 or under, no, they do not need a badge and get in for free to all the events save those restricted by age. They even get free face paint!
My child is older than 12, what about then?
If they are between 13 and 18 they qualify for a teen badge, which is only $15.
How do I get a table?

How much does it cost to get a table?
It is $80 for each table you register for.
What comes with the table?
Two dealer badges, a table with a hotel-provided tablecloth, and access to the Dealer's Hall, gaming areas, and entry into the Friday night activities.
If I register more than one table do I then get more badges?
If you register for 1-4 tables you get 2 badges, 5-8 you get 3, and for 9+ you get 4. Extra dealer badges are available for $25 each if you need more people.
What information do I need to provide to register my table?
Your booth name, your real first and last name, address, phone number, email, what kind of products you will be selling, how many sales staff you have, and if you have any rooms booked at the Hyatt. If you have booked a room at the Hyatt you can provide the confirmation code and receive a free dinner and 1/4 page ad space!
When is set up?
9 am until 12 noon on Friday. The show starts directly after setup.
When is tear down?
At 2 pm on Sunday. We ask that you plan your trip accordingly and do not tear down earlier in order to prevent potential hazards in a crowded dealers room.
What can I sell at Cyphan?
You can sell collectible toys, original art, comics, movies, music, posters and photos, costuming supplies, props, memorabilia and more!
Can I advertise in the convention book?
Yes! We offer 1/4 page ads for $150, 1/2 page ads for $200, and full page ads for $370. If you stay in the Hyatt and provide us with your hotel confirmation code you will get a 1/4 page ad for free and can upgrade it to other sizes for the difference.
What are the rules for the ads?
They must be submitted as a high resolution 300 dpi jpeg or pdf file to EMAIL.
